About me
My name is Caleb. I'm in a 5th-grade Project-Based Learning Classroom in Idaho. I got my favorite video that I would like to show you. I like technology devices such as computers, laptops, and more. My favorite animal is a cat. I always like George Washington as a president, so I shared his life and his wars in this source. I like to be a grammar patrol ( fixing my groups of missed spelled words and commas. ) My teachers like Project Based Learning and make a lot of good quotes for us to do every day. I love Project-Based-Learning, because you have to never give up and work your hardest every day. I always wanted to be an Engineer, because, I love math, which is what we do in this Project-Based-Learning Classroom. The projects were doing were very hard working, very well thinking, and in groups. I like to create websites such as this project that we are doing, which is our last project until March 18th, 2017. That is the end of our project, and we did about 13 projects in total with some people coming to help us such as the Mayor. Some students of my class got his autograph which I thought was funny. We got fixity-six students in our classroom with two teachers. We wrote down a note card and my note card said, " I will never go to struggling I will always go to Achieving Greatness. " That's all we strive for Achieving Greatness. We will never give up and keep on pushing our self to the limit. We got a lot of videos we do to show us what to do to strive for what we want or quotes. The most favorite war I like is the Revolutionary War. We have rubrics to follow for Achieving Greatness. We always have to follow directions to not put up a tally up on the board. What we call them are off task marks. We will get on if we are off task. You can use this for a Project Based Learning classroom. We always get these assignments on the board to get done today. We got four classroom challenges to follow to do a challenge. 1) Choose two days and dress your best! 2) Sit with someone you don't know and clear their trash for them. 3) Listen twice as much as you speak. 4) Let your words be followed with action! My best friend ever is Wesley. The other last project is the Road Trip. We have to create a visual road trip around the state of Idaho that focuses on important places to visit and the history of those places. The second project is what important content information about social studies, science, or math can we share with the world. Which is what this is all about. We have to put all of our effort to get success. These sites are very good to use to check your grammar is wrong or punctuation. - https://app.grammarly.com/ and https://www.paperrater.com/ One of my teachers like Batman and the other one like Superman. In my class website, their icons are Superman and Batman. They are very big fans of these superheroes. We even got Social Norms on the board. "You don´t get what you want, you get what you work for. ¨ It is in our classroom on the wall close to the door. Success is not always about greatness, It´s about Consistent. Consistent HARD WORK gains success. Greatness will come. It is a quote. In Project Based Learning, you got to apply, analyze, evaluate, and create. And in Textbooks, you understand and remember. I like Project Based Learning more than Textbooks. All of the projects we were doing here, Planter Boxes, Road Trip, Website, Newtons Cradle, Respect Skit, Pay it Forward, Footbridge Model, Government Mural, Biomes, Poetry, Native American Story, Cooking, Timeline of the United States, Flood Plan Newspaper Department well as a teacher. They both have a way of making Mountain Home Idaho a better place. On the May 19th, we will be having a big surprise party when the Mayor walks in. Be respectful - respect all people, objects, and ideas that are brought into the classroom Be responsible - be sure to be responsible for all actions, choices, and learning. Keep AVID binders organized, manage time, and solve problems Use manners - be courteous of other people and say words like "please" and "thank you" to convey thoughts Be positive - it is understandable to have bad days and negative emotions, but those are not excuses to bring someone else down. Those are the things we do in this classroom. We always got to be positive if we are right or not and use manners all time every day. Do the right thing even when nobody is looking. Treat others the way you wanted to be treated. That is our golden rule of this classroom. Accountability - you always have to be responsible for your actions. Every day uses integrity even when no one is looking. It uses to be a rule in my old school in Washington. Always double check your work in your classroom. My problem with this class is people always dating and when we are in groups, people are off task and mean and they don't connect with their group. I had it when that happens. Why it is a problem because people share it with the class and they go off task and talk about. I had a group and I had a lot of off task people which sucked. I was doing all the work while they were off task. Everyone had a lot of problems with that. I don't know how to fix their problem even though we are a problem-solving class.
